imo we should relax a little about Romanov. He still didnt play in the NHL
He was good in WJ and KHL but thats nothing compared to the NHL

I agree, He's not going to be the next Hughes or Makar, but I think he can play a bottom pairing role this year, bring a solid defensive game and give Montreal 15 or so points.

Very sound expectations. I would hope for John Marino last year at the high end. Very good defenseman in his own zone and can contribute on offense.

I also agree on relaxing a bit on Romanov. I see him starting the year on the 3rd pairing unless he really blows out CJ's mind with his ability at camp. I also think he will surprise 90% of his critics who say he is a defensive defenseman. He is an excellent skater and handles the puck well which he showed at the WJC but he is not going to be the next Subban for sure. I see him as another Petry type player who's offense is very underrated.

Romanov has offensive upside yes, but I don't think he will produce a lot points this year, in his prime I could see him being a 30-40 point defensemen, similar to Provorov, but not as good. (No disrespect to Romanov but Provorov is a monster)
