Really worth retaining 2 dollars?

Toews isn’t worth $8 mil. I’d take him at $6.5-7 mil, but not more than that. Would make signing our young guys a nightmare plus Zibanejad. Plus Hawks fans would want Laf and Kakko and 5 1sts and still not call it fair value. I’d avoid and keep building and developing from within. We’re not contenders yet and won’t be for at least another year. Patience is the key here.

Why would SJS, a team in need of picks and prospects, trade a 1st round pick on a bunch of worthless things and an unproven prospect?

i gave them picks and a good prospect . but again i was just f ing around

1. Rangers didnt move up in the draft to draft Schneider only to trade him away. Did you see how happy JD was? This aint happening.
2. Rooney and Blackwell were brought in to have players to expose during expansion draft without losing anything significant. Not happening..

i didnt know the blackwell and rooney stuff. but why would rangers draft another rd prospect it just really pisses me off. so i traded him cause we dont need him and he has high value

Because we wont see Schneider for probably 3, maybe 4 years. I dont think DeAngelo is in the long term plans for the Rangers, Nils is however. I think Schneider is the person to take Troubas spot in the future. Its all long term thinking.

You gave us two nobodys and a 4th,5th and 6th round pick. How in anyways is that worth it?
