Curious how many people who call him a bust have actually watched him play....

Boston mismanaged him so bad that it's not even funny. Kid was a goal scorer in junior and the forced him into a bottom 6 role in the AHL because they wanted him to focus on his defensive game. I don't see him having much of a future with Boston (although I wish he did). Hopefully he goes to another team that let him just play his game, which is a scoring winger. Still think he could be a good 3rd liner in the NHL, but I don't see it being with Boston.

Bust.

He was ranked at #40 by Bob McKenzie, not his fault he got drafted in the first round and he had to work on his defensive game to play in Boston. Can play in the NHL right now and be a good 3rd liner. Only 8 players drafted in the 2nd round in 2015 are current regulars so there's that.

Just give him a shot or move on. Still can't believe the Bruins picked three players in a row and they all are nothing more than average or busts. How can you possibly have passed up on Barzal!!???

Well, DeBrusk is a middle-six player. Zboril has potential to be a top6 (not enough for his spot) and Senyshyn was off the board but he can play on the 3rd line right now.

That's a great question for the Bruins; don't see anyone asking them anytime soon.

Other Red Wings fans won’t like this, and I too want to see what Svechnikov can do with Detroit more first, but what about Svechnikov for Senyshyn? Chance both guys can play the 3rd line at best.

I see a lot more than 8 second rounders that are regulars

Aho
Hintz
Dermott
Blackwood
Fischer
Carlo
Cernak
Harkins
Greenway
Andersson
Dunn

Blackwood, left him off because he was a G and it's not like we needed him. Aho, Hintz, Dermott, Carlo, Cernak, Greenway, Andersson, Dunn, yes. Harkins and Fischer were (healthy) scratched couple of times this season. Add them, it's still only 1/3 of that round.

You'll be able to claim him off waivers anyways, it's unlikely he gets a spot because we don't have one for him on the RW.

The minors salary (100k) is higher than what his QO salary would be. AHL/borderline players tend to sign RFA contracts lower than their QO at the NHL level in exchange for a higher salary in the AHL

Harkins played more games in the AHL than the NHL last year....how does that qualify him as an NHL regular? There are other guys in the 2nd round with more GP than Harkins and you don't have them listed. I think to be a regular you need have played at least 100 games. Playing 29 NHL games (like Harkins) is not an NHL regular.

So then he's not an NHL regular for the context of this discussion. I could say Lauzon is an NHL regular because he's will be an NHL regular this season....and he has more NHL games than Harkins does. I wouldn't consider Lauzon an NHL regular until he actually becomes an NHL regular.

LOL yes it is....by 1. If you talking about a % though its

8 players = 26%
9 players = 30%

You're talking about about difference of 4% which isn't significant. Less than 1 in 3 second rounders (where Senyshyn was ranked) have become NHL regulars.
