Before I was on CF i thought Murphy as Underrated. But holy crap is he ever over rated by hawks fans on this site, my word.

And they say that Johnsson is WAYYYYY overrated when leaf fans traded him for a late 2nd smh. (Joey Anderson was the 73rd OVR pick so leaf fans werent too far off.)

It would be nice to have Toews, but there is zero chance the Jets give up a first and a very good, young defenseman they need for a $10.5 mil 32 year old.

Your not factoring flat cap and pandemic uncertainties, 10.5 million dollar toews, may have just played his last best hockey and could be a possible buyout by year 3 of that remaining contract. I would compare him to Eric staal with quite a few miles on a older frame, but could find a new role and be a solid contributor again, but for half the money and possibly a year or two at a time

Dead on. The only one with a contract that can be some easily moved is Keith. I don't think the blowup happens until next year if at all, but they all have nmc and 10.5 for toews and Kane. If you do move them there's zero chance you'll get max value. That said you can still get good pieces.

That's not enough for Kane IMO. Guy is an absolute superstar top 5-10 scorer in this league still for at least 2 probably 3-4 more years.

All together now. Toews is declining asset and a cap liability for any team competitive enough to consider him as a 2 or 3C. No team is taking on 10.5 against the cap in what looks like 3 flat cap years AND paying a 1st+ for the privilege. Sorry friend, he might be a good player still in a vacuum but not the biggest cap hit on 25 teams in the league good.
