My gut is saying dubas trades either Holl or Dermott and goes with a 22 man roster. Just my gut, and Personally, i think holl should be the one to go, you cant be paying your bottom four dman who's carried by muzzin 2mil.

You can get Dermott resigned for less. He is RFA with no Arb, bet he signs for 1 yr 925k like Tony D. He has no leverage.

General rule: if you don't look like a top4 d-man without your partner, then you aren't a top 4 d-man. Simple as that

Seriously though, Every single leaf fan on here sees that holl is a right shot, and thinks hes the next coming of Ryan Ellis or Dougie Hamilton.
Nobody can see past the fact that he's carried by Muzzin and that he shoots right.
Last year before he was played with muzzin he was a healthy scratch.
If he shot left he'd be traded or scratched.

100% correct about the first part. Holl is a number 6/7, no more no less. Just because he had 12 good games in the top 4 in 19-20 doesn't mean he's a top4 d-man.

The issue with Dermott is his decision making, he really needs to step up in that department or get the hell out of the organization, he can be so frustrating to watch. IMO he hasn't proven that he's more than a good number 5, unlike what a lot of TML fans seem to believe.

Dermott has size and can skate. Life you said, he needs to improve on some decision making. I think he definitely has top 4 potential this season. And my most likely scenario is a Holl trade. Many good points have been made here.
