Description

I'm not confident that the values are right whatsoever especially with the flat salary cap. If Toews does request a trade (doubt he'll ever ask) what would the price be to move him out of town? The trade I have doesn't need to include those players, just figured it was a starting point. I think it would take a lot to move out Lucic's contract but it might give Chicago replacement experience for the younger players.

Giving up the equivalent to 3x 1st, a Selke calible C that could land a 1st, downgrading our backup G spot significantly and moving a 3rd liner as overpaid as Toews for Toews and a bust is not worth it.

Ya both teams are passing on this. Also that’s cutting it close to the cap needing 3 more players. Won’t get quality to fill those holes

I’d say it’s pretty close. However the flames would be stupid to do it imo because I’d rather have Backlund at this point than a 10.5 million Toews.

Why would the Hawks have any interest in Lucic and Rittich? If the Hawks are heading towards a rebuild. The two last players they'd want is Lucic and Rittich.

Chicago if rebuilding wants prospects and picks

Calgary wants to maintain a roster, as they are gutting themselves in order to fit Toews in, they aren't even better after this trade.
