it is close. for a team where in about 3 months there stars are going to absolutely miserable. Kanes on the wrong side of 30 to garner much more interest. don't get me wrong hes still elite but his years are numbered. pelletier is a top prospect. Zagidulin has looked very good in the Ahl and will likely be in the nhl in the next year or 2 and Yelesin is a solid defensive defenseman who the flames have already started to test in the NHL. a team will take Lucic for a 1st. especially one that is rebuilding because by the time the hawks are ready to compete again he will be off the books and you gained 2 1sts in the process

Not saying this deal is fair and that I would honestly prefer Toews over Kane for Calgary but calling Pelletier a B level prospect is not accurate. He was very likely to make Team Canada for the WJC last year but got injured leading up to the tryouts and missed it, at the time he was 4th in the Q for scoring only behind the Lafreniere and his 2 line mates
