Ya I wrote that in the description. I think the trade is missing one substantial piece to it. But I do see NJD as a suitable candidate.

Montreal doesn't want or need Toews or Keith. If you want to trade any of Kane Keith or Toews you better be prepared to lose the deal no team is going to give you a crap load of future assets for any of them. Habs counter offer would be Kane half retained for 1st + 2nd+ Struble. Don't like it too bad find another trade partner!

Kinda heavy handed when every Canadiens writer claims danault is gone next year and KK still isn’t at full potential.

Kane at 5.25M for a 1st, 2nd, and Struble? lol

Kane at 5.25M gets you Suzuki, Kotkaniemi, Romanov, And Caufield haha

But if you don't like that cool, we'll keep the 100+ point superstar who actually can win awards and you can keep your future Calder Cup winners

GREAT! We will do just that! Plus your never going to get anything close to your hairbrained proposals! Kane has a 10.5 Mil cap hit in a COVID era, is 31 and and here is the BIGGEST reason are you ready! The Hawks have announced they are rebuilding! Prices come down significantly under all of those conditions. Good luck don't bother responding cause I just don't care what else you have to say!

The Hawks also said, if you bothered to read anything about the rebuild, that they weren't trading Kane or Toews.

But... I wasn't kidding. Kane at 5.25 is a ridiculous bargain and would therefore require a ridiculous return. It would start with Suzuki and add Kotkaniemi and at least add one of Romanov or Caufield (probably both like I said).

Honestly as a Hawks fan I wouldn't even want to do that because I think Montreal has completely overrated their prospects. Kotkaniemi has not been impressive since entering the league, Suzuki has been good I guess, and Romanov and Caufield are unproven talent

Wtf KK hasnt been good?! He ended up his 18yo season with the same ppg then Dach whos the second coming of jesus in CHI. Had pretty bad injuries last year and came up really strong during the playoffs. Caufield was a top 5 prospect in the league before last draft and Romanov is seen by many analysts such as Button and Pronman as one of the top young dmen prospect out there. Get real man

Yeah and that argument might work well if the player you were trying to acquire was like Logan Couture. But we are talking about Patrick Kane AT 5.25M lol.

You guys proposed Kane at 5.25M for a 1st, 2nd, and Stuble and you are telling me to "get real".

haha

I didnt proposed anything. I was saying that we dont want anything to do with Kane or Toews at that crazy price... No a single team is trading away those kind of pieces for a single player whos on the wrong side of his 30s. Man wtf KK, zuke romy and caufield for one player lol

Ok well my post was in response to someone proposing that so I don't understand why you are commenting to me? That's what I am talking about.

Also it can sound as crazy as you want it to sound but it doesn't change the fact that Kane at 5.25M has the value that Suzuki, Kotkaniemi, Caufield, and Romanov. Sorry that your prospects aren't as good as you think they are and no amount of spam posting their "pretend value" is going to change people's opinions.

Kane half retained vs Suzuki I don’t know if MTL do it tbh
Let alone adding something
We have waited years to get a 1C, and now this kid outplayed Kotkaniemi Domi AND Danault at is 1st NHL season and has Elite potential. Suzuki is super good, we aren’t trading him

I don't know why Montreal would do it because they aren't really contenders and it's not smart long term. But if you want Kane at 5.25M he's going to cost Suzuki, Kotkaniemi, Romanov/Caufield. Is that a smart move by Montreal? I don't know, I don't really care how it is for Montreal. It's the price.

The guy who said Kane at 5.25 for a 1st, 2nd, and Stuble is a clown.

You can say "elite potential", but none of them are elite... which is what Kane is. It's really obnoxious how teams think they can get elite superstars at 50% retained for nothing.

Ok cool, Kane is 31 years old. But he's putting up 100 point seasons every year without any sign of slowing down.

Kotkaniemi is completely unproven and Suzuki (despite constant overrating) has not proven that he is going to be a star in the NHL. Either way, they don't have the kind of value that you think that they have.

*Another episode of die hard fanbases overrating their unproven prospects*

I never spoke about Kotkaniemi but everyone who looked at MTL games or the playoffs will disagree saying Suzuki is overrated. Kane doesn’t have that much of value at 31 yo, he’ll be worth something like Erik Karlsson
