Source? Who say's that Florida is the front runners on Patrik Laine, There's nothing linking him to Florida and 29 other NHL teams can easily beat that offer. Lundell right now is nothing less then an unproven prospect. Weeger doesn't improve the jets anymore then say Josh Manson does.

I think Weegar really helps our top 4, lundell is already close to nhl ready and that 1st has some value, maybe it takes more but I honestly thought it was an overpayment considering the whole situation. Maybe make the 1st a 2nd and add Tippett?

Unless you guys plan on moving Cole Perfetti to wing, It wouldn't make much sense to add Lundell. Perfetti with his skating is probably better situated for 2nd line LW then as a 2C then Lundell would be perfect. Would love to see Laine play alongside Barkov and Huberdeau they would light up the league.

Zero chance the Cats trade Lundell. Offer from the Cats would Weegar, Borgstrom, Tippett, and a conditional 2nd (becomes a 1st if Laine scores at least 35 goals & Cats make the playoffs) for Laine, Roslovic, and Niku. Some variation of this I just see a consensus amongst Jets trade with them getting rid of Roslovic and Niku.

Eh, maybe Laine for Weegar + Borgstrom + Tippett + 2nd. Roslovic + Niku would cost a first. I don’t think borgstrom has much value but that’s just me. Laine himself should fetch Weegar and Tippett plus a 1st at least. Does Borgstrom + 2nd = 1st?

I like Weegar and Lundell, but if this is the best offer available right now the Jets should just hold onto Laine and look around next off season if necessary.

It doesn't check the boxes Chevy supposedly asked for though. There's no hurry to trade Laine and this isn't a homerun deal. So, I would hope Chevy holds out for more.

Weegar, Tippett, and a 1st is fair, don’t really care about Roslovic or Niku, not a mock on them just know most Jets fans keep trying to trade them.
