I think I would do that Tampa trade.

I would not give up all that to move Okposo, I would simply trade Ristolainen and not sign Hainsey and play Borgen as 3RD.

mittelstadt is not a 4C, he would be in AHL

Thanks for the feedback!

Cozens is 2nd line left winger on this team.

Do you see Okoposo still having value to Buffalo?

Why not trade Cozens for Cirelli cause we’d need a new 2C (stamkos can but he’s better as a winger) and now Cozens gotta be a 3C if he’s better at center

I caught that, didn't think to look on the left because he is right handed.

Okposo has reinvented himself as a good bottom 6 player. Very much overpaid, but i would prefer not to move assets to trade him when we can get assets to trade other players to clear cap

that's an option also. I see Tampa having a bigger hole on RHD though, so that's why I went with Jokiharju. They only have Cernak right now on that side.

Cozens for Cirelli - one for one would be interesting.

Ya fair enough. You can swap him sides with Skinner if needed also. I tend to worry a lot less about what sides wingers play on. Too specific knowledge to know for every player on every team.

Ya fair enough. 3 years left at 6m a year is a lot. That is for sure.

Tampa's Blueline depth isn't there. Stammer at 2C is better than Coburn on the ice at all.

I love it when Leaf fans have more hockey sense then Sabre fans.
I love Jokiharju and it was a steal to get him for Nylander.
I do not get to watch Tampa much, but what I saw of him in the playoffs, he can do it all.
That 2013 pick could easily be among the last 10 (or even last 4 with Cirelli on the team)
You are correct, the Sabres would need to make space for Cirelli and it may cost them a 1st, 2nd 3rd or even more to do that.
I love that you have Eakin in the minors. IMO Adams did well to get Staal and Hall, but his other moves are terrible.
Bring back Larsson and save $850,000 over Eakin.
I see we lost Scott Wilson (28 yo with 51 NHL pts) and signed Steven Fogarty (27 yo ZERO NHL pts).
Earlier he signed Matt Irwin, and Brandon Davidson when Derrick Pouliot and Mark Pysyk two former first round picks were signed for about the same amount.
Mark Pysyk was most troubling as he could also have played RW a position that Buffalo needs help.
Here is the difference the Leafs' killed it in Free Agency, Brodie, Vesey, Simmonds, Thornton, Spezza, Bogosian, Dell.
But IMO a real deal breaker was Quinn over Rossi. OMG fire him now on the spot.
