Lisa Dillman published an article on the The Athletic today saying that Blake confirmed via text message that they want to bring back Andersson for training camp. That's the opposite of the news that was released when the trade broke when they said that they expected Andersson to play the season in Sweden.

At this point, I still think it's likely that he finishes the season with HV71, but it's much less of a sure thing than it was 2 weeks ago.

I just saw that, I think it's a bad idea to put him in the exact same position New York did. He hated playing on the fourth line and his usage was a big reason for him leaving.

Kings are among the best in player development. Rangers are among the worst. Kings know how to use him and I'm confident he'll work out with the Kings. I still think he should stay in the SHL all year and light it up like he has been. It'll be good for his confidence.

Yeah not knocking player development, in fact I would love to see him in the AHL developing with Fagemo and call both up if we had that option. But yeah I agree with you he will likely spend another year in Europe.
