Just that simple, so simply one would think it would have happened by now.

Oh no, the isles might have to give up bellows and one of their 5 D prospects that project to be top 4 D! How will they survive!

Now that is a hilariously far reach. You are just digging deeper and deeper

The reality is the leafs the are the Dallas Cowboys of the NHL. They have star players, but they do not have what takes to win in the playoffs. They might have to re-tool soon.

I personally hope tavares and Matthews both score 50 goals this season. Imagine 2 50 goal scorers and they still miss the playoffs lol.

Your head is going to explode when they are a top team and have a deep playoff run. Top 10 record under Keefe but facts and reality don't matter to you anyways. Tell again how bad TO is because our 15th forward is more suited to being in the AHL. You know because that is exactly what most 15th forwards are. Lol you are just lost.

Andersen fell off a cliff last season, but facts and reality don’t matter to you anyways 😉 . Between him and the slowest bottom 6 in the NHL, that’s really not a recipe for a deep playoff run, let alone making the playoffs.

I’ve been hearing the leafs will make it past the first round for over 2 years now. Maybe after this season leafs nation will get the reality check they need.

Cool story, how does Varlamov's career numbers stack up to Andersen's? Lets just use an outlier to make the case for everything. I also love how Thorton, Simmonds and Spezza, 2 of which will be on the 4th line always, somehow nullifies the other fast players. Kerfoot has elite speed, Robertson, Barbarov, Anderson, Boyd all above average to high end speedsters. Are you saying this crap thinking that there is a new rule where the other guys in the bottom 6 have to pull Thorton around? Also Spezza isn't even that slow, he's not quick, I'll give you that but once he gets to his top speed he still can get down ice fast. There is a reason why he often swings around his own net on break outs and takes it up ice. The fact you chirp him is all anyone really needs to see to understand how lost you are. You may as well start chirping the equipment manager because that is exactly how ridiculous you sound. It's not even funny anymore, it's just hopelessly bitter and stupid. Good luck

The isles have arguably the best goaltending coach in the league, Mitch korn (who is known as the goalie guru). Andersen has been better than varlamov overall, but Andersen was awful last season. Sorokin will be the isles starter this season and he has the potential to be a vezina caliber goaltender.

you go around and talk sh*t about every team and then get butt hurt when something negative is said about the leafs. Pretty funny.

Everything to do with the Isles is the best. Way better than every other team especially the Leafs. Which is why you chirp 4th liners and 7th defenceman. What a joke.

It is clear the regular season was an outlier for him. He was pretty good in the playoffs, although I admit I am not his biggest fan. Hes still a high end goalie and I think he could backstop a team to the cup. I also think Campbell could be much better than an adequate backup. I can see him giving the Leafs a 1A1B situation, or at the least give Andersen much more rest. Interesting note, the Leafs had the 5th best record in games Hutchinson didn't start for the Leafs. But of course it wasn't his fault....whether he had good defence a head of him or not, he was flat out bad in TO. Andersen played in front of the same team I think was still top 10 in wins, in a down year. Your just silly

I saw something from either Dreger or Lebrun that it was at least brought up again a week or so ago.

Ok, Russo mentioned it before free agency in the context of "will Guerin circle back around to see if a deal can be made?" but Russo has also since said from what he's being told, the Wild are done with making moves and will likely go into next season with the roster they have. Obviously could be a smokescreen to motivate Lou to offer a better deal, but given their current roster I think they're legitimately done and will just go with what they have.
