My precedent on the Stützle trade was the sedin draft where burke basically packaged young Bryan McCabe, a projected top 3 pick in the next draft and many 3rd rounders for 2nd overall so this deal tries to mimic that one as best as possible:

3rd for 15th, Robertson, Hyman, 25th, 55th, 55th

Then we have

Fox for Hallander, Korshkov, Anderson, 25th, 25th, 55th, [dead salary removal]

Not saying these'll work but they're compelling offers and could you ultimately overwhelm them with that many assets? Sure why not. These things happen.

Also I tried to find more optimal trade targets for this but like, ugh, Kaprizov has a 1 year ELC and Poile foolishly burned two years of the Tolvanen ELC (!)

If moving smith is that easy then NYR will do that package themselves. As for fox, we want quality not quantity.. we already have a ton of 1st & 2nd rounders waiting to hit the NHL. No need for more prospects when we have a star player in fox at minimum wage. Now all that being said I’d still pull the trigger on that deal and then return TML 2022 1st for fox 3 months later when he refuses to play there.
