Has anyone heard any news on Zack smith i had read online that he needed another surgery and would be out for the season that this was the reason he was not bought out can anyone confirm this ?? And also has anyone heard anything about shaw playing this year ??

I heard Shaw is planning on being ready. Smith likely on LTIR. So hawks have cap space, but management seems lost in their own plan.

Something happened behind the scenes that we have not heard about makes no sense that the hawks that the hawks have close to 8.5 mil in cap space with Smith on ltir and they did not sign a goalie when so many were available there has to be a plan or deal in the works otherwise why yank CROWS deal of the table . I get it that crow wanted another year but to just yank it without a counter offer makes no sense . Either another deal fell through or one is coming or they really feel Delia and or Subban or Lankinen are ready . Out of the three i think Lankinen might be the real deal

It was reported when free agency started that this was the group they were going to go with. They sniffed around Matt Murray and Darcy Kuemper, but didn't want to pay the price on either. It doesn't make sense, cause it's not a full rebuild, but it's not loading up for a cup run either. It's a really poor attempt at a retool.

we wouldn't give crow an extra 400k. Let's just say it wouldn't surprise me if we did it with Strome too
