I know that this is likely not enough / might not work for NYI, value and cap wise. They just have to move leddy which won’t be hard and it works. Could swap Niku in and make it a 3rd if they want a replacement dman. I figured since NYI has Nelson + Pageau, plus barzal wanting to play a more offensive game which he can’t under trotz they might consider this. I think that Nelson is a lower end 1C but he plays a very very solid game for how the Isles play so I truly believe he’d fill the 1C role really well. I honestly think that laine would play sooooooo well under Trotz, he’s really worked on his defensive game and is way better there and he’s an offensive weapon that trotz would actually utilize properly. Think about how trotz handled Ovi towards the end, he really turned Ovi into a beast. I also think laine would take a deal like this if he’s got true options on a first line.
