This is totally counter productive

Engvall is easily worth a 3rd.
Marincin is easily worth a 5th.
.. so why is Toronto giving the Hawks what would be their best left handed d-man for nothing?

Take out the 3rd out of the Detroit trade and the value is close but Detroit still declines.

Marin in is worth a 5th and Engvall is worth a 3rd. Sorry but I think you over value your bottom 6 forwards.

And Chicago easily passes as we have no need for any of these guys. Engvall would struggle to make the lineup (Nylander, Shaw, Highmore Wallmark, Janmark, Suter, Kampf, Carpener, Hagel, Kurashev) we have plenty of bottom 6 guys. Dermott would not make the lineup (Keith, De haan, Zadarov, Carlsson).

Nashville just traded Austin Watson for a 4th round pick to Ottawa. Engvall is younger, better, cheaper and signed for longer than Watson. So yes, at least 1 round higher of a pick is easily the value.

Anaheim just traded Erik Gudbranson to Ottawa for a 5th round pick. Gudbranson is one of the worst d-men in the league. Marincin has much better analytics and costs league minimum.
