Little isn't playing next year

I was kinda hoping if there’s a laine trade, that the jets buy a duclair, as kind of a cap savings return on laine also, not part of the package but kinda. Add a solid dman and as many picks Or ahl/junior prospects as possible

I can see the Jets telling Laine that they are going to play him 19-20 mins a game and if he plays well, he can play top line mins. Get his value up for next off season. If he performs well and WPG doesn't do anything in terms of mins and such, he has every right to leave. If Laine is gone for sure, hopefully he plays well enough that he gets a big return

Nobody who might be in on Laine is in on him because they missed out on any of those guys. No GM is sitting around thinking "let's hold off on that Laine guy, I think we have a shot at Athanasiou".
