it was, i think and still think that it was largely a part of nylander holding out for so long which tanked his value in the eyes of other fans. i think it should have just been pesc for nylander with maybe an exchange of mid round picks but that is the past and it didn't happen so we can only speculate

Bean's going to be the #7 this year with us. That's pretty much in the bag. He likely makes it full-time when Fleury or Skjei is selected in the Expansion Draft (likely the former).

When the holdout was happening, the Canes did reach out and Dubas asked for Slavin and the discussions ended. Pesce has never been remotely close to as valuable as Nylander.
