Not bad, I like it, although keeping kerfoot over Sheehan makes a viable offensive 3rd line better.

Dermott at RD and that 3rd pairing is a question mark, as is Simmonds at 3RW, but overall some reasonable re-signings and balance

There are like 6 guys in the Sens organization I’d have higher on the depth chart at C than Kerfoot

Ottawa would rather you had Kerfoot also. Probably wouldn't trade a 3rd for Kerfoot. Definitely not a 2nd. No chance both...

Golly. Do they score at a 40 point pace every year and play quality all around hockey? Kerfy was an analytical selke finalist recently, elite shot suppressor.

I'd say he might be the best non stutzle C in the org currently (BTkachuk exempt naturally). I dunno if any other C can generate what I described there ^

Logan Brown definitely has potential to get there and beyond. But not by much honestly. White seems a safe bet to at least equal him and Norris is promising.

How is Dermott making 1.6M?? They offered him 895k. Ya, he didn’t sign it. And if someone offer sheets him 1.4M or more, and Toronto doesn’t match it(which they won’t, they will just take the compensation) Toronto gets a 3rd round Pick. But where do u get 1.65M/year at?? That’s crazy..they offered him 895k..lol..and he isn’t arbitration eligible.

No way Engvall brings back a 4th round Pick either. A 4th line, Depth player w/ a big contract. Every organization has tons of those guys they believe in way more than Engvall.

I think we can all agree that Kerfoot is a fine 3C. With where Ottawa is at, wouldn't they rather give the ice time to guys like Stutzle, Norris, Brown, White, Brady, Tierney, etc.? Like, I get what you're saying, he's a solid option, but why give up a 2nd and a 3rd for him? You overpay at the trade deadline when you absolutely KNOW that a guy like Kerfoot is the piece you're missing-not in the summer when you haven't even seen the team on the ice yet.

I would much rather give playing time to Stutzle, Tierney, White, Brown, or Norris, those guys all have much higher upside than 40pts and being meh defensively. He has one good defensive statistic (or at least he did his last year in Colorado, not sure how that turned out on the leafs) but isn’t actually great defensively if you watch him play. Maybe he’d get a little bit of PK time if he was supposed to be a Selke candidate lmao
