While I'd love to have Dumba on the 1st pairing, I don't see it.

Firstly if the Flyers are doing as well as they did last year, you don't move your #3 or #5 defenseman. Secondly, Myers probably comes in around Sanheim did 2 years back at 3.2mil or so, not just 1.2.

As much you and I both believe in Hagg or Zamula or Cam York or Morin at LD eventually forcing a move at LD, I don't think AV or Fletch sees Sanheim as expendable over Ghost, even though Ghosts return is at an all time low, based on his injury year last year and his salary in the flat cap. Ghost will be 3rd pairing, moved to RD or just moved for a meh return.

Without the trade above the team has about 2mil to play with, moving Ghost even for nothing and taking a harmonic, vatanen or ceci at RD makes the team deeper and stronger.

I'd love a cernak or dumba certainly at 1RD, but don't think Ghost is in the team plans any longer or based on how they played last season without him.

I do agree about the center comment as well. I was thinking Patrick/Laughton as well but I think Minny has something else in the works for the 2C position im hearing.
