If it's not Duke, I still think they add someone to play in the top six. I love Formenton, but I think he could use some more seasoning before he's totally NHL ready. I would probably start Stuetzle there instead, or I could see them scooping someone left in free agency.

Also I agree. forcing him in there just because of Duke wouldn't be fair to him. I still think his hands need to catch up with his speed. He's also got some grit so playing him in a reduced role wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility.

Don't get me wrong, he definitely could make the team in a 3rd line role this year, I just think he'd benefit from more time. Plus with the expansion draft looming, it makes way more sense to use this as an evaluation year for prospects who could potentially need to be exposed. Guys like Balcers or Chlapik who both need the opportunity to cement themselves as part of the future.
