I think the bruins probably want a bit more for debrusk. Personally I’d rather keep Reimer as the backup but that’s just preference.

This is quite nicely done and hell yeah to seeing Jake Bean in the roster there -easily one of the best players outside the NHL currently- about time 🙂

There's no chance OTT gives up a 2nd round pick for one year of Reimer when they already have Murray, Nilsson, Hogberg, Gustafsson, Mandolese and Daccord under contract next season.

Ryan Dzingel? Scoring winger? You'd have to sell him hard because he regressed badly last year. Only 8 goals in 64 games, after 26 the year before.

Nicely done except for that bruins trade abomination.

I'm curious why that deal makes sense for Boston. Gardiner is pretty atrocious and crumbles when games matter. If they wanted a PP QB couldn't they go to say PHI and get Ghost for a mid-pick?

LeBrun and Pagnotta have both linked Ottawa to Reimer, primarily related to the cash/salary vs AAV difference. As mentioned, you can argue return, just making that connection as a destination

Gardiner isn’t atrocious, and his analytics with Carolina were pretty good this year. The issue is having a guy slotting into a bottom pairing on this team making $4M+.

I’ve seen DeBrusk’s name all over the trade rumors recently. My guess if Ghost was going to be trade for a mid round pick, that would have happened last year when he was being scratched by the Flyers.

He regressed because he played down the lineup last year, and never got his footing in the Carolina system. He’s put up 20+ again if given the mins he could get in Arizona.

It’s honestly such a lopsided trade offer that i respect the bold nature of it.
