Have you ever seen him play? He’s a solid winger who’s had injury issues on a very small contract with RFA rights at the end of it. How on earth could that not be positive value? Where’s the downside?

He is injured alot, came back out of shape, etc. Coach specifically doesn’t want those kind of players (especially the 2nd part).

The Athletic article already takes care of this for me. Rod was quoted as saying we want to avoid players like that here. We discussed a eastern conference guy that came in out of shape. It immediately shot down, moving on. No need to objectively look at the trade.

Tbf that'd kinda explain why the rumored Kase for Faulk trade a little over a year ago never went through...

I dont think Kase came into Anaheim's camp out of shape. I believe Anaheim wasnt comfortable with Faulk's contract demand or making the trade without one in place. May be I am wrong. Just solidifies the Canes (since us and we are not allowed) not pursuing him in the future when looking at that and his injury history.
