Many do not like this trade but I kind of like it. Danault has never scored more than 13 goals. His proper chair is 3rd line C, but has been playing at 1st C because Habs lacked offensive players. Now they have emerging Suzuki and KK. Yes, Smith is a higher cap hit but his 27 goals last season would look nice on LW. Worth considering or tinkering with.

it depends on fit. I do not follow Vegas at all, but it appears scoring is not an issue for them, plus they just landed a dynamic stud in Pietrangelo. Maybe they had identified they need solid Pk and strong face off percentage. Like I said, I like the idea of the deal but it might need some tinkering.
