lol, i was wondering that too. The buyout window is closed, but opens up again for teams involved in arbitration with their players. Once virtanens arb date is concluded (october 28th i think), the canucks get an extra 48 hours where they can buyout any player as long as their cap hit is over 4M, which sutter is.

Hamonic may not be the answer, but I still think there is something to moving out those players and picks in order to free up 7M is space this year. allows for the roster to be filled out with 1 year deals while huggy and petey still on ELC
