I heard so much this offseason about how AJ was basically useless because he plays so much beside the big 4. Funny how he has only played 60% of his NHL toi beside them while Hyman is literally at 100%. A useful NHLer but... he's just a sidecar ultimately.

AJ puts up similar point totals in way fewer minutes, better possession wise. Also AJ had 2 more years left than Zach. Who has more value on the trade market.

HYMAN IS OFF-LIMITS

Making the Carolina certainly would harm the Leafs this season. Barbarnov and Malgin as 3 and 4 RW...that's a wish. Engvall and Vesey and 3 and 4 RW. Johnson had to go because of higher cap.
Leafs mistake this offseason was signing Brodie to 5m....IMO the market wasn't that high.
