No....obviously to get the last 3 RFA's signed one more roster player must be moved...my solution is throw Holl and Engvall in the minors...hope they clear to get the cap space and if injuries or player slumps occur you can bring one or both back.

No one wants that Holl contract and Engval is little more than a replacement value player.

Engvall is waiver exempt, so he really needs to impress in pre-season to keep his spot, or else the Leafs can save half a million in cap space by using Malgin, Spezza or Boyd's 700K contract in his spot.

Engvall, Robertson, Barabanov at forward and Sandin, Liljegren, Lehtonen on defence don't need to clear waivers to get sent down.

Robertson is a OHL age player still, he goes back to the Petes not the Marlies...I don't know if the Leafs like that idea for his development.

Because of cap situation and his waiver exemption status I would be surprised if Engvall is not sent down Wouldn't mind seeing him spend some time in the minors as a centre.

Dubas only wised up this fall about signing fringe players below a million on a year to year contracts (Spezza, Boyd, Vesey, Malgin and Bogo) instead of 2 years at $1.25 of Engval and 3 years at $2 for Holl.
