No, but I just don't see why he would want to come back after they wouldn't give him what he wanted.

Dorion implied in his comments that both sides were open to circling back. Pretty much everyone this free agent class is taking a sizable pay cut, I don't think Duclair will be any different. Once he realizes there's not a big money multi year deal out there for him, it's fairly likely he'd be open to coming back to the team he just had a career season with.

Just out of curiosity, who you pay an inconsistent player, who's bounced around 5 other teams before finding a "slight" stride 25 over 5? Or would you give him a "prove it" deal? Prove this season wasn't a fluke.

The dude walked away from 8 over 2 because he thought he could get more on the open market not realising he won't get anywhere near what he's asking for. Toffoli went for 17 over 4. I don't think Duclair warrants that. Sure he scored 23 goals. But, he had a 2 long stretches where he pointless (10 games or so).

I'd give him a 'prove it' deal. Maybe the Sens will get him back. Just doesn't seem likely.

He might not, but given what guys like Toffoli and Smith got, both with far longer track records as proven scorers, I'd be surprised if there's a better deal out there than what Ottawa offered him.
