just improving the blues and making some small changes

pls note I'm not a blues fan so I don't know many of these players so I didn't mess around with the lines that much.

I think the Wings likely take that deal if its offered.

Difficult to move Scandella and his contract. Teams don't want to tied to long term deals for medicore players. The Faulk and Scandella contracts don't look favourable at all for the Blues.
Bozak has M NTC. He just may not want to go to a team with cap space...which is usually a poor team.

Every other team dumped cap for value, aside from the Marc Staal deal - Gudbranson, Stastny, Schmidt, etc. So why would the Blues have to pay a 1st round pick to move Bozak? He was more productive at 5v5 and better defensively than Stastny was last year, and he's cheaper. He'd be a helpful piece on a lot of teams, and worth something at the trade deadline.

I just did it off of what I've seen. That was the same price for the leafs to get rid of Patrick Marleau, who had a similar contract. And I know that Bozak was better but judging from what I've seen and the flat cap, I think that a first is fair value. Plus, the blues front office views Bozak as their third-line centre, which will bring down his value. Same reason why Montreal got so little for Domi

CAR told TOR that they'd need a 1st rd pick to take on Marleau bc they were going to buy him out and his 35+ contract meant that the cap hit of the buyout was the full 6.25m, plus he had a full NMC. Not the same scenario as a team that would trade for Bozak. I just showed you what recent cap dumps have looked like - he's basically the same player as paul stastny when you break it down. If the Blues missed the boat when teams were flexible and they have to sweeten a Bozak deal with a pick, that's fine, but I doubt it would be the 1st rounder, that sounds way too high for a useful player.

yea but also the blues need to get rid of salary, or they'll be screwed. A team like the red wings with lots of cap space can take advantage of that and get a lot more than they should in a bozak deal. I may have put the value a bit high but I still think it's not that bad of a deal.
