Best case scenario is they get Dermott for Weegar. They should be very happy. Lhd with great potential who will come cheap and has no arb rights.

Why would Florida trade Weegar to get another LD from Toronto? Where would Weegar fit on Toronto?

Not sure they want that much cap back. Assume it would be multi layers going back and forth in that case.

Florida has the room and Zito is looking for another center according to reports. Not many cheap choices in FA left and the ones that are will cost more or the same as Kerfoot. Plus Kerfoot is only owed 2.6mill. Basically if done the center core (Barkov, Wennberg, Kerfoot, Accari).

Also Florida really wont be adding much cap as with Weegar wanting 3mill its 500k more with kerfoot added and no idea what dermotts making so lets say 1.25 so really 1.75 mill in cap is the difference.

Leafs would probably take Accari back in the trade.if I had to guess.

But man lets say a trade happens where Acciari and Weegar come to Toronto and Kerfoot + Dermott and whatever go to Florida man is this team gonna be even more scary than it currently is and honestly the Tampa model is given as
