They’ve got two outstanding goalies that will split time and a ton of cap space to sign Hall, Toffoli, Hoffman, Etc.. whoever they want pretty much. Also Thornton will be signing with a contender. Idk that Toronto is a contender rn😂 Plus your roster is 3 men short with no cap space left to fill it. You can’t afford Pietrangelo.

Last year was a ****show with injuries, a coaching change mid season ,massive holes in the team.
With all this under Sheldon Keefe as the head coach we were on pace for 103 points (Tampa Bay was on pace for 107)
Our Team has fixed the Major hole with Brodie (Obviously still a weak point but it's not Ceci)
Nylander Matthews Marner all get closer to their prime. Tavares just turned 30 another 2-4 years before he starts to decline (Depends on the player)
We added Grit in Simmonds and Bogosian also increasing our defensive capability with replacing Kapanen with a defensive forward in Barabanov
After all these loses in the playoffs I think we can be a dark horse contender, not Avs, Tampa, and Boston level but a strong team that can be a surprise
