Description

Nobody has mentioned this (from what I’ve seen), but did anyone see the hit where Timmins got knocked out of the playoffs? It was definitely a head injury and he missed a whole year already due to concussion. I’m concerned that he’ll end up like Joey Hishon or Peter Meuller. Both promising players that had their careers cut short due to concussions. It’s risk/reward but I think the Avs could use him in a trade while he has value. Don’t read too much into the trade, it’s just a guess.

Thats probably not enough for Gaudreau. Remember what you got for 2 years of Duchene? Try closer to that. Besides if Timmins is having concussion issues that would lower his value

There’s no doubt that colorado won that deal by a mile. But I think a lot of teams look at that and they’re more cautious about committing too much. Agree probably not enough for gaudreau but just throwing it out there if the Avs want to make a big trade, they could include him.

Regarding Timmins - AJ Haefele from DNVR mentioned that Timmins is fine on a recent podcast. He didn’t elaborate, and I don’t think the team has released anything so take that as you will. Hopefully this is a “No news is good news” scenario. That was a scary hit with his head hitting the glass, especially considering his history.
