Foegele and Fleury both make much more than 800k. The only way Laine works on the canes cap wise is if we make the team worse by trading Hamilton.

This can work but there needs to be several alterations or the team just got worse.

1) dzingle and nino both need to be moved for cap space

2) the canes need to sign a 2 line center- granlund would be my choice on a 5x2 prove it deal

3) canes need to sign a better rhd I can not watch tvr play again- the cap for this would come from moving out Gardiner

4) fleury and foegele are both getting more than that I’d bet on 2x2 for each

The cap can work especially with svech likely getting a bridge. For it to work the canes need to move 1 of Gardiner and Skjei and probably both nino and dzingle. I would also explore going cheaper on a backup but that’s dangerous seeing that fleury probably can’t take a huge workload these days

The Jets would only consider a deal worked around Pesce and Necas.

thats actually one of the better Laine deals I've seen. If it's gotta be Pesce and Necas, that might be better of for Carolina anyway so they're not giving up too many quality pieces although I know Necas is a gem
