A Serg Charlie pairing would be great. However Serg loves his Russian brothers and not leaving Tampa.

Sergachev wont sign it, He'll take less in 0 tax Tampa then high taxed Boston.

Chara isn't signing that cheaply, Either 1 x $1M or 1 x $1.5M give or take.

Again show me a link to a source that says he will not take anyting less then 1M.

I always thought Charlie was better until the last 7 months. Serg has come a long ways. Offensively Serg is better. Defensively Charlie better but Serg getting closer. It is a bold statement but I have watched Hedman and Serg after first 3 years Serg is better than Hedman. No way that I think that he will be better than Hedman long term. Charlie stepping in day one as a defenseman very impressive, very few do that.

Why would he, He's still a solid top 4 LD in this league and isn't taking a paycut to help Boston out.
