Why would the Jets trade Hutchinson 26 for Niemi who is 33 sure Niemi has a good win loss record but Hutch is just starting out plus with the Jets sending Pavelec down not sure they would be up to taking on more Salary. Also not sold on Fowler replacing Trouba I could see the trade with out the jets giving up the 2 3rd rounders

Why wouldn't Boston just trade a 2017 1st and 2nd for Trouba then Heinen, D, Carlo, B, and a 2017 3rd for Fowler themselves

Im not sure they could afford to swap out two ELC guys for $9-10 million in Trouba+Fowler without then moving a couple of other contracts. Plus I think that if Sweeney got Trouba for just a couple of draft picks he should just pull a George Costanza and leave on a high note.

Because you will lose one of them in expansion. This way you can protect Hellebuyck and get a serviceable forward as well.

Because I can only work on 1 team presently and they would not receive Fowler in your scenario

Anaheim is currently asking Boston for that package in a deal for Fowler. Boston likes Fowler but would much prefer Trouba. Winnipeg, needing a left d-man that's similar to age and progression as Trouba, receive Fowler and picks for Trouba. As far as I can see talent wise, Winnipeg would be eyeing Maataa, Reilly, Fowler or Ben Hutton. This trade would make sense for all 3 teams

Really? Fowler isn't even close to Ben Hutton? Come on JuniorGM, I know you don't like the guy but lets not be silly now. Even if Hutton has better advanced stats compared to Fowler (I don't know, does he?), he's only played one year and its not enough of a sample size to say he will be a top guy year after year.

We know what fowler is a #4 dmen at best. Hutton was that in his 1st year. Go with the young guy. Fowler should be better than he is. He skates well and can pass but his results shows he makes players he plays with worse not better. If I'm the jets my targets are Rielly, Lindholm, Gardiner, Klefbom and Krug. I don't think the jets get any of them (maybe Gardiner)
