Nice trade and good signings! Definitely brought in some extra leadership for the dressing room with Koivu and Hamonic!

100% I mean I don’t think it’s like super far off, just doubt vegas wants to give up krebs for a 2nd and roslovic. Also a little too much term and $$ for hammer. He’s likely looking at 2-3 years around 3-3.5m

Well I view Stastny as a cap dump so to me this trade isn't far off cause Roslovic is actually good and would flourish in Vegas like everyone else does compared to how they get stifled in Winnipeg, also the 40th overall pick is pretty good, this is decent but I know Vegas fans would **** on the idea.

Personally I'd do 40th overall for Stastny if Whitecloud or Hague were coming back to the Jets but that got **** on by Vegas fans as well when I proposed it before on here, if it was me I'd wait these other GM's out with my cap space if I was in Chevy's position, make them pay to get out of their cap issues or find another trading partner or do a buyout or whatever, shouldn't be bailing out your competition unless it's worth your while, period.

Yeah I wouldn't mind Hamonic for what you're suggesting, he's probably looking for a raise though but I don't know if he'll find that considering the flat cap, few teams with cap space and a plethora of UFA dmen looking for jobs.
I wonder if Schultz would be a good RHD to sign, I know he fell off in Pittsburgh but did contribute to a couple cups, think he'll be looking at a substantial paycut, if he comes cheap enough he might be worth signing, might be a better powerplay quarterback then Pionk is, idk but I hope they go the free agent route to shore up the defense rather then trading their powerplay weapon for one!

I don't think Wpg wants to help Vegas and their cap especially if it help Vegas sign Pietrangleo. Vegas must pay!

I hope you're right but Chevy traded for Eakin who was essentially a cap dump at that point, hopefully he's wised up since then.

I think last years trade deadline was Chevy's worst moment. We should of been sellers not buyers.

I think they should of been sellers the last two trade deadlines, something was clearly wrong with the
18-19 Jets, that team should not have been invested in, every UFA should've been sold off and the retool should have begun then, wonder if the return for Trouba may have been better if he was sold off then as well.

On paper, the 18/19 Jets could of won the cup. Unfortunately there were internal issues and running into the hottest team, and eventually cup winners didn't help. The 19/20 edition did not have it. Losing Byfuglien, Trouba, and Myers and replacing them with really only Pionk should of been the writing on the wall. And thinking that Demelo is a top4 dman is just crazy.

I’d do it with Hauge, not Whitecloud. Krebs is an absolute no....

Totally agree, the 18-19 Jets were well built but I just don't think the internal issues were going to be overcome no matter what, selling then while unpopular would probably have them in a better position today.
I agree about DeMelo, he's okay but he's not a top 4 dman, maybe 2nd pair but definitely not top pairing.
Also thinking Copp is a 2C option is crazy in my opinion, he's a good 3C and that's it but he's also not a 3C that you can slide up when an injury hits, the Jets don't have the depth to contend the way they're currently constructed.

We haven't had a permanent 2C since Little a few years ago. Little has declined and is no longer a 2C (and it is looking he is going on LTIR). Get a 2C and maybe it shows WPG is serious about winning and attract Top4 UFA dmen. We have the assets.

I think Little was and is a 2C, just doesn't have chemistry with Laine and the coach's refusal to change his lines has gotten them nowhere and now with Little likely going on LTIR they have a big hole, say what you want about Little but he was very much missed by the Jets this season and is much more of a 2C then anyone else the Jets currently have which goes to my point about not having good enough center depth in general, most if not all good teams have a 3rd line center that can move up if needed, the Jets don't have that, I think they need a better 3C as much as they need a 2C if they truly want to contend.

I do think if they can add another good center for a futures package and sign a couple decent dmen in free agency they could be much improved, not sure if they could be a contender but maybe, teams have won with good but not great D cores so it is possible if everything comes together.

As for getting a 2C and the constant discussion about it for us Jets fans I just wonder who is really parting with a 2C, there's a shortage of centers in the league, not sure if anyone is trading one away for a futures package, Domi seems like the only realistic possibility but Jets fans are pretty divided on him and Bergevin wants a top 6 winger for him which the Jets shouldn't do.
Idk man, the realist in me just doesn't know where this 2C is coming from without creating a big hole elsewhere in the lineup and then is it even worth it.

Tuesday's draft might be interesting. Is WPG's future 2C coming from there? Does Lundell fall to us or does someone like Tampa offer a 2C for that pick? I don't think Tampa can wait till free agency opens and gamble that no one offers Cirelli an offer sheet. Friday is coming fast.
