Description
Pretty good goaltending tandem for the next two years until Konovalov can come over, I also really hope that we get Askarov, just incase Konovalov doesn't pan out

I would not trade the 3rd alone for all of that. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The blue jackets also have Vehvilainen and Tarasov in development and already are pretty good goalies, so tell me why you wouldn't want a 1st, a prospect goaltender and a towering prospect defenceman? Will you put 3 goalies in play? How will you make cap space for when Bjorkstrand, Texier, Murray, Anderson and Dubois want a bigger payday? Oh yeah and when Vehvilainen and Tarasov also will want a shot at the big times and a bigger payday, what will happen to the tandem goaltenders they have on the team already?

Both Elvis and Korpi are signed for two years. No need to trade unless we get top value. Bahl is not has a lot of question marks to him. The Jackets are currently loaded on defense and would rather get defense in the late part of the draft. A goalie? We won’t be looking for another prospect goalie coming back. And that 1st is two years from now. The Jackets are in a win now stage. A more appropriate offer would be Elvis for Caleb Jones, Ryan McLeod, Tom Mazura, and a 2020 1st

Wouldn't trade that 2020 1st, I'd change it to 2021 1st and McLeod to 2022 2nd, would that work for you?

See that is the sticking point. The Jackets will not trade either goalie for futures. Anything coming back in the trade would have to be helpful to the Jackets now.
