Description

To Get to Low 70s internal cap -> Don't Sign Brodie

Vancouver Trade #1: A swap of cap dumps. Sven's actual money owed is only 2.4 mil.

Columbus Trade: Columbus deals Korpisalo at his highest value, netting former T10 pick Mittelstadt. Included in the trade are Josh Anderson, a Middle-6 FWD when healthy, going to Buffalo along with return of Nathan Gerbe, and Rasmus Ristolainen, a Top-4 D-man who will slot nicely into Columbus' bottom 4 along with AHLer JSD.

Washington Trade: Saw this trade, and the Miller for Kempny trade in other AGMs. Decided to hold onto Miller after trading Ristolainen and Montour.

Toronto Trade: A swap of 2 AHL all-stars fallen out of favor and 2 depth players.

Montour Trade: For any team that needs D-men. Not necessarily Vancouver.

Obviously not a professional GM, thoughts would be appreciated.

Jones, Savard, Nutivaara, Kukan. They would have to move Savard before considering this. Even then I think theyll have better offers for Korp

Columbus fan here. We've got NINE NHL-caliber D right now (Seth, Z, Savard, Gavrikov, Nuti, Kukan, Peeke, Murray, Harrington), so we're not looking to add any D; in fact, it's more than likely that at least one of Nuti/Sav/Murray get traded. So... yeah.

Also, Jarmo has been very clear that he'll listen on his goalies, but he won't trade either of them as part of any deal that doesn't return at least a 2C to Columbus. So that doesn't work for us either. Barring you guys offering us Reinhart, I don't see a way we can make a trade work.

Columbus was talking about an Anderson for Risto trade at the deadline to replace the injured Seth Jones who was projected to be done for the season with the knee injury, but bailed due to the contract length. The thought was to get Risto to replace Jones and keep him for a year or 2 and send him out, if we were to move Savard I wouldn’t be a poised to adding Risto or Montour as the 2nd pair D and letting them go to Seattle as a don’t take anyone else type of player, so Peeke could step in tor the line up that year.
