Pulock doesn't sign that and if he did NYI would gladly match. Also, Minny ain't giving us a first for Andersen.

Fair enough about Andersen. They don't need the 1st anyway really.

NYI have to resign Barzal who is an RFA and they have about $8M in cap space. Maybe he doesn't take all of it, but he'll make a dent.

Andersen might get the same return as Allen did. Both are rentals, just Allen had a much better year and is $650k cheaper.

I think he'll get it all maybe more but Pulock probably signs for 6×5 or 6×6 he would have to be offer sheeted more for NYI not to match. He's their top pair RHD and they don't grow on trees. Also, if we were to trade for him (not saying they would move him, but if they did) it would be Nylander going the other way.

Last year everyone said the Leafs would have trouble signing Marner. They found a way. So will the Islanders.

I don't think you can get Elvis for that but he's an intriguing target.

CBJ fan here. You can't get Elvis for that. Jarmo has made it clear he's not moving either goalie as part of any deal that returns anything less than a 2C, which in your case would be Nylander.

Which is obviously ridiculous. Any team trading a top-6 forward for one of those goalies needs to have their head examined.

I mean, not to sound like a jerk, but he doesn't get to choose how other teams value his players. Expecting to get a 2C for goalies that are not slam dunks, when there are multiple options in the UFA market or trade market that will cost less, seems extremely aggressive.

I can ask for 7 first round picks for my players, it doesn't mean I'm getting it. In reality, he'll lose one to Seattle if he doesn't move him. And if other teams all sort out their goaltending issues this offseason, they might be left next year without as big a market. And then the offers will get worse. So he's going to trade one, the question is when can he extract the maximum and what will it be.

He's not claiming that's what they'll fetch in a straight-up, 1-for-1 deal. He's saying he won't send them as part of a package that fails to bring back a 2C. So for example, Merzlikins + Savard + Anderson's RFA rights for a 2C.
