Sutter's contract isn't that difficult to move. With a bit of retention I'm quite positive he can pull in a 5th. Miller's value has dropped as a sabre.

I would make that trade with Boston, I might still make the one with Vancouver. I would never trade Reinhart to Montreal, especially not for just Domi.

I like the VAN and MTL trade
Hugues-Miller
Edler-Myers
Juolevi-Stetcher
They can trade Virtanen they have depth on the RW
BUF need Center ( Domi )
MTL need RW ( Reinhart )
They both going to command the same salary IMO
Boston decline tho, they need NHL player back if they trade DeBrusk

You could argue that Buffalo needs good RWers more than they need centers right now.

Staal is a placeholder for Dylan Cozens, there is no RWer depth in the Sabres organization right now

That’s fine. It’s a bad trade for Buffalo. Reinhart is a significantly better player.

I disagree with both statements. CF has given this illusion that you can just flip bad contracts for a 5th, notta big deal. Who would do that and why? Sutter adds nothing to Detroit or Ottawa, and they can get more from other teams to take on their bad salary to hit the cap floor. Sutter isnt adding anything to competitors, and hes not economical, even with retention, for a fringe team to take a shot on him. I dont see a situation where a team would pay for Sutter and Vancouver isnt adding sweeteners to dump Eriksson, they wont for Sutter. And a lot of VAN fans have said this is a consider-able trade

I wouldn't say significantly better but I think Reinhart is a better all around player

Which doesn't work very well. there is no reason Buffalo should trade Reinhart for Domi

Cozens is a center he might start at wing but he is a center, Adams said it was part of the reason he felt bringing in Staal was a great idea

They're really not, and even if they were it makes no sense to do this trade when you're dealing your only true top 6 RWer and don't have a replacement

Everyone wants to put Cozens at RW till they see an ACGM where their golden boy Reinhart gets moved. Olofsson also can play RW. Its not a huge concern

They tried Olofsson at RW he was lost 5 on 5...it is a concern, it is why they moved him back to LW

yeah so they can play on a line together for a year and then when Staals contract is up, Cozens takes over at 2 or 3C depending on his maturity. Then the Sabres have Pekar, Thompson, and possibly Holtz all with a year of development under their belt. Pekar may be able to make that jump next year.

Pekar is not a top 6 winger, he is a 3rd liner max...

I have hope for Thompson still but he needs to show something next season

If we have learned anything it is you cannot throw rookies out there in the top 6 and expect them to develop let alone survive...for the record I have no issue moving Reinhart, it just needs to be for the right package, and a Reinhart for Domi move doesn't make sense

Youre over-rating Reinhart or under-rating Domi

Olofsson finished this year playing RW, and if not than it was Kahun, Skinner also played on the right side. Its not a concern

It was Kahun

Oloffson Eichel and Reinhart were the top line
Skinner Crap center Mojo Kahun was the second line, they also tried Kahun at center

Cozens should start at 3C like Dach did and if he progresses move him up by seasons end.

Miller isn't the type of defenseman that Vancouver needs, but there's enough value in that deal to make it worth it.
