Description
Since the leafs lost to the jackets, they have been shopping players, and have traded Kapanen for a first and a really good center prospect. They fleeeced pittsburgh. I woudnt be surpised if one of Johnson or Kerfoot go in a deal for a defensemen, or a new 3rd ine center, if kerfy goes. Freddie Andersen will be a inteiging peice, if he is traded. He is a top 10-15ish goalie, and whe he plays well, hes top 7. The reason they would trade him would be that he is making $5million, for this last yr on his contract. He might not sign a contract extension, or even resign.

As far as the untouceables, heres is who I wouldnt move. The obvious guys that stay are:
-Auston Matthews ,(he Auston Matthews, what more do i need to say)
-John Tavares, (Hes our captian, and hes still a top 12 center.)
-William Nylander, (23 yr old winger ozing with potential still. hes a 30 goal scorer, and still has yet to reach his full potenial, and hes on an amzing contract for the next 4 yrs.)
-Mitch Marner, (even though he had a terrible playoffs, he still is untouchable, hes still young with lots of potential, is one of th best playmakers in the league. Give him time, hes stiil developing) -The others I wouldnt trade are Muzzin

Next are the prospects that I would not trade. the obvious guys are:
-Robertson (55 goal scorer in joniur, and can become a great player.),
-Sandin (future top pairing defensemen,)
-Timothy Liljegren. (He is an amazing shutdown RHD for the Toronto Marlies [leafs affilate in the AHL] and will become an amzig shutdown defensean that can move the puck. He only 21, with tons of potential. if you are intersested and want to know why I think he is going to be very good, check out @SammyT_51 on Twitter and see his thread on liljegren. )
Do not trade those 3 prospects.

The players that might / will be traded are:
-Johnsson (id keep him this yr, play him to raise his value, then trade him next yr or at the deadline. or trade him now for cap reilef)
-Kerfoot (3.5 mil as a 3rd line center is good, but in a flat cap world, it isnt. )
-Andersen, (is a good goalie, but he might not resign. Get assets whil you can)
-Dermott ( he is a good top 6 defensemen for the leafs, but he needs to be resigned, and would get much playing time. Id package him in deal for a better defensemen)
-Holl (looks like he wil be the leafs 7th dman hehind Reilly, Muzzin, Sandin, Lehtonen, Liljegren, and 2 new defensmen, why have 2 mil sitting in the pressbox, when you can trade him for an impact player on the defense or in the bottom 6.)
-Engvall (leafs have been shoppping him on the trade market, even though he might stay next yr.)

The Leafs aren't signing Pietrangelo, that would destroy the depth of this team, and trading Nylander would be the worst leaf trade in recent history, so that is off the table.

There's no chance Wild do that deal. Eriksson Ek doesn't need a change of scenery and he's still got upside left in him.

I see alot of Andersen to Carolina ACGMs but I'm not even convinced that Andersen gets moved because in order to upgrade on Andersen, Leafs would be getting a goalie of at similar level.

Also don't believe Leafs would trade Andersen within the conference. More likely to trade him to the west. Just doesn't make sense to trade him to a team they will face on a regular basis.

The 3rd and 5th is all you'll get. Joel is completely off the table after this offer

You’ll probably get a 2nd and a 3rd or a late first for Andersen, but that’s it. Not to mention that Carolina is in the conference.

The Pittsburgh trade isn’t horrible, depends on the asking price for MM.

Kerfoot isn’t worth that much. JEE is fine in Minnesota, the front office staff seem to like him.

Columbus trade isn’t that bad either, but not sure if Columbus would be too keen to move Anderson unless it’s an overpayment.

Instead of paying that, just offersheet Cernak.

Bracco, well, it’s Bracco.

Overall not too bad. I like the creativity.
