I don't think so. As promising as Patrick is, he's a big question mark with that concussion/migraine history. I don't think his trade value is high at all, which is a bit unfortunate since it's really not something he could do anything about.

I feel that this package meets Winnipeg’s needs. A 2C (could be 1C in the future depending on Patrick’s recovery. God I hope he’ll be ok. As a hockey player myself, working your entire life just to be injured when you make it to the pros, it’s sad. I have a feeling though he’ll rebound.)

As I said, just to get the conversation started. IMO, if we were more sure that Patrick would make a full recovery, I think the Jets take that offer.

It would be better if Sanheim was replaced with an RD like Myers, but Sanheim is still decent value. Patrick however wouldn't be considered he would need to be replaced by something better, possibly Frost.

I think a Laine trade is going to be to a team with a stellar development staff (obviously not the Leafs) that believes that it's just the right people working with him that brings out his potential. It's definitely a possibility. Honestly, if a team has some really stellar people to work with trading for Laine could be a massive home run. You need a basketball type GM to make it happen though.

Make it this year's first and another conditional draft pick depending on how many games Patrick plays this year.

I wonder how the rest of roster will be filled with Myers coming for his money, B2 Goalie to be signed plus 4C ( or Nolan with 3 x 3M to push Laughton to 4C ) and 3rd Pair RHD to be added....not even to mention next year....
