What’s the deal with Erne? I’ve seen almost every Detroit person say this and it makes me think something is wrong lol.

We are prob not going to qualify him, or he just didn't look good for us, so we are trying to trade his rights instead of picks, maybe playing with toys team can spark him, but be seems like a dud to me

Yeah, no. POJ doesnt belong in this trade when JJ is just a contract that is offloaded by Detroit next year for free in the Seattle expansion draft. A Third and a second at most should be enough to move the Johnson contract given what it took to move Marc Staal.

Bye felicia, dont need a sixth from a franchise trying to recover from Holland by trying to will lopsided trades into existence. Enjoy signing your under achievers to get to the cap floor while letting your "Youth play"

Hence the bye felicia, Ottawa is still out there and your team took on a second to get Staal. So your not beyond the "Take picks for bad contracts." And we in PGH are well aware we are facing a cliff and ready to embrace it at this point. In 3 years time Zucker, Guentz will be traded for high picks and that will start the rebuild where we will be like what you are right now. Picks for bad contracts while waiting for us to hit the Draft Lottery.

I'll stick with my team that doesn't threaten to sell the team and move them every 5 years unless we get a superstar. Once sid retires you'll be the kc penguins rebuilding while we are winning cups. Later hoser I'm done with your lack of general lack of manners and hockey knowledge. You're by far the least likeable person on the entire site.

Coming from the Red Wings fan who goes onto literally every Red Wings post and makes a comment of "Red Wings decline" Unless the offer is so overloaded in the Red Wings favor that its a a steal is laughable. And hey nice shot with the relocation because you don't have the ability to trash talk from the time the final horn sounded in 09 till Yzerman took over. And if being the "least likeable person on the entire site" means that Im calling out homers like you for the same nonsense Im (Rightfully or wrongfully) accused of? Then give me a badge and I'll wear it proudly.

PS. Big thank you for being my continuous reminder of why I hate Red Wings fans.

1st round prospect + 3rd is an overpay to dump Johnson, he's owed less money than his cap and his buyout is low

You're projecting hard here... You can disagree on value without being rude

Posting POJ + JJ on every single thread won't magically make it closer to value for Pens fans... maybe their argument also has merit

He was mean first, I was responding to him being rude way before me bud.

The other part is, if we don't receive that then we aren't taking JJ, pretty simple philosophy. On reverse, just cause pens fans think we will take JJ for a 3rd doesn't make it true also

Oh if he was being mean then that makes it ok... wait no, that's not how that works

if it took a first to trade JJ they would just keep him, which I don't think you understand

if he gets moved, it will be for less than that, so the premise you're arguing from an organizational standpoint makes no sense

No team is moving their best defensive prospect to clear 3M in cap, and even less in actual dollars. JJ's total buyout against the cap is only 1M more than Staal makes against the cap for just this year, even less if whatever team were to take him on waits a year.

also, don't understand the "we," Yzerman could trade Larkin tomorrow without giving you a heads up

So like I've been saying since the beginning you guys can keep him then.

It does work that way, he decided to go off the deep end and attack my franchise, so I attacked his back that's it. What's good for the goose

But again, there is no us and there is no you. We're all just fans disagreeing on value, it adds next to nothing to claim your team wouldn't do x,y, or z without giving some type of reasoning

In this case, Staal sets the market at significantly less than POJ or a first to dump cap, continuing to argue against that reality without giving examples makes no sense

Staal is one year vs jj multi years changes everything. The penguins can keep jj, we want not part of him especially after trading for staal, if your fan base doesn't want to pony up, you can keep him. All the wings fans on here all agree we aren't taking him for less then a first and a 3rd, or a good prospect + 3rd.
