Staal costed a 2nd for the Rangers to dump him. Why do we see obvious salary dumps demanding more of a return than they should? Holl from Toronto has a 3 year contract @ $2 mil each and Toronto wants a mid draft pick for him? Winnipeg does not want that contract period. Lots of UFA's out there that are better than Holl at no cost.

Marc Staal was literally like the 3rd worst defenceman in the entire league last year making 6 million, that's why he costed assets. Justin Holl is a pretty decent bottom pair guy and is cheap, so he doesn't have negative value

For a cap strapped team, Toronto shouldn't have a 2M dman on the 3rd pairing.
