Well, the Avs would like it if you player in/player out (aka... trade) with another team. Thanks. We like our goal tenders also and would like them to remain on our team. Again, thanks. But good not a trade.

Thankfully you’re not sakic so.... maybe this isn’t the right website for you?

Trying to pretend like francouz is untouchable is laughable.

rumours have been abound that they are looking for an upgrade. Andersen is an option but I think they will look for something long term. That is why it is not a trade.

rumours are pretty inaccurate, its lazy speculation pieces by non avs writers bc they think the Avs lost bc they had bad goaltending...they had hurt goalies, even Francouz who was playing injured the whole dallas series.

They arent looking for an upgrade actively. Sakic said it himself he is comfortable with his goalies.

Frankie is a 2m quality back up, in a flat cap world when you have 2m on a solid back up, why would you be in a rush to move them. Avs are looking more into strengthening their D bottom pair wiht more of a true shut down Dman. They are more willing to upgade Zadorov or Cole over the goalies as the avs writers are mentioning

No this is from Av’s writers. And insiders. The issue was francouz looking worn down.

Just a thought on a goalie to move in. Take half the workload.

Pretty hard to say you won’t move a guy when you don’t know what the return is. Which was done purposely.

It’s just frustrating to get a parade of no’s when you don’t even know what the trade is. Now if you wanted to come up with a trade or what pieces you think they might be looking for, that would be a healthy conversation.

Its not from actual Avs writers....if you are claiming Adrian Dater as the avs writer in question, that like saying Damian Cox and Steve Simmons are the most credible Leafs writers.
And no MSM guys are actually linking them, they have mentioned in passing with phrases they think the Avs might....They Think and they might, that is pure speculation stuff.
Not sure who is making stuff up about Frankie looking worn down...he played injured against Dallas, injuries happen it sucks but worn down? This sounds lke Dater made up BS bc hes a failing click bait guy now

We touched on this earlier...avs are in no position to flat out refuse to do a goalie move but they arent this hot and heavy desperate to make a move in net that some people are seeming they are.

Sakic is smart and patient, he isnt running out to make a move for the sake of doing it

I agree with that. Would assume it would be a hockey trade.

If avs make a move in net it’s for a guy they believe is there starts next year and for years to come which makes grubauer the they move, not Frankie

Look at how difficult it was for the leafs to find a reliable back up, why would avs move on from one they trust and has a nice 2m aav for 2 years. Lots of value having your back up shored up and it aligns with the time line for Annunen coming over seas. 1 more year in Europe and 1 season in the ahl, a nice transition plan is in place for them

Quoting: Joe Sakic
"They both had good years. Unfortunately, they both got injured at the wrong time, But neither of those injuries you have to worry about. Train hard in the summer and make sure it doesn't happen again. You can't predict injuries, but no, they both had good stretches and we expect that next year."

I wouldn’t call that an air tight case...what do you want him to say? “ These goalies are made of sugar and I can’t wait to fire them into the sun” ???
