Looking to discuss the proposal/ value

Is Ottawa far off
Is Ottawa offering to much

Does WPG accept? Does Ottawa?
Who declines first (my guess wpg but that’s a good value, a top 6 guy, a future 1C potentially (5th), brown who could be a 2C but probably 3C this year, and 33)

Don’t know the exacts of Ottawa’s roster projection for next season so just tossed together a lineup

I don’t see Ottawa moving 3 unless they get a unreal return

I also don’t see them moving 5

How much would you estimate Ottawa needs to add or change in this situation. Personally I think it can’t be JBD or Brannstrom sent.

That is way more than I'd be comfortable giving up to get Laine. He's got some great upside, but he's such a flawed player, there's no way I'd pay the huge price tag on him

Means I think it’s close to fair as a starting point

Now to my opinion if I’m Ottawa I do not budge on offering more and I’m already scared on offering this tbh

I’d rather Ottawa keep 5 and 3 but getting Laine is intriguing but this price is scary here if we’re including 5

I think if it's pick 3 that's enough.
3rd overall>=Liane
Tierney, Brown, 2nd rounder (33rd overall)<= 10th overall.

If you want to do it some other way, it has to be one of Thomson, Bernard-docker, or Brannstrom.

To be honest, I was considering almost the same thing, but Ehlers instead. What would you and @Claesson4Norris think about Ehler+10th overall for Tierney and 5th overall?

Thomson odd man out there but I think WPG wouldn’t take him. Good selection but Ottawa but definitely needs to see how he pans out. He ain’t on the level of the other two IMO

Ask more sens fans like @csick and claesson could better inquire. I’m interested in that although Ottawa could trade tierney alone for a late first or a couple seconds

I don’t think that’s unfair to offer tho

At 5, they'd be guaranteed to get Drysdale (who's comparable is Makar). Would you trade Makar for Laine? Absolutely not.

But I get that Makar is an established NHL D and Drysdale is not, which is why Ottawa might need to throw in a sweeter. so I'd Say

Not bad, but I highly disagree with your statement of "Winnipeg doesn't need Byfield/Stutzle". They need a second line centre just as bad, if not worse than a defenceman (they have Samberg and Heinola coming up).
