how much do you think a 44 point player with a 7.15 x 8 contract is worth ?

yea sorry to break it to you but a 44 point forward with a 7.15 x 8 contract isn't worth much more, if at all then a
1st, Mid six center who's at least worth a 2nd , and a 21year old top 10 pick

And that’s why they won’t trade him. It’s worth the risk for them to gamble on him having a better season next year as opposed to trading him for half his worth.

And if you really thought he was a career 44 point guy with a $7.25 mil contract, you wouldn’t be trading for him.

Why trade for Keller at all. Strome could play RW if that's what is needed and will sign for 4.5m'ish. Keep a 7OA who is showing signs that he may become the player he should be( I think the kid needed time to grow up/mature like Drouin did). And a 22OA can be moved elsewhere or used to keep our minor system half decent..

I don't want 7M+ player who hasn't proven his worth yet.. that being said im sure in 2-3 years he will be much better so I'm not saying he is junk! but... Fox, Shesty, Kakko, Laffy, Miller will likely all need a hefty pay increase in those 3 years.

I mean this idea is from an Elliott Friedman report saying theyll test the market on him. Arizona can take the gamble themselves but its a lot of money to be gambling for a poverty franchise

If keller doesn't improve.... what then? As for our younger and faster roster... we aren't awful by any means.. If youre talking a blockbuster for Eichel then that is Competing now, Keller isn't a compete today player... thats nonsense

Keller is a perfect number 2 center who helps you today, tomorrow and the next day. 200 career games at 22 is a lot. scored 65 points as a rookie but is struggling. Rangers bet its cause of the trash team he's on.

So what package are we losing to get him first off???

And why not save the 3M to sign Strome who works well with Breadman as it is(18G/41A in 70GP).. <==== seems like the easy move as you don't give up which ever realistic package youre about to toss around on a gamble. 3M can be put towards someone else... I wouldn't toss away the future to narrow our window to win it

Yeah you don’t know anything about him bud. Friedman said “I wonder if they’ll test the market for him” not “expect him to be traded tomorrow”. IF they were to trade him it would be for real assets, not for a failed 7OA, a 1 year wonder, and a late first.

And the Coyotes owners are multi-billionaires who spent to the cap last year and have committed to doing whatever it takes to field a winning team. Find a new slant.

"Have committed to doing whatever it takes to field a winning team" Sheesh this is all they got to show for doing whatever it takes ? Bottom 3 franchise in the league, wow they did a great job

They made it farther than the Rangers did in the playoffs this year lol. Not every team is blessed with 2 top 2 picks in 2 years

I said franchise, not team. They're MLS teams worth more than the coyotes. Are you still going to be a fan when they move them ?

Surprised it took so long for you to mention relocation. Props to you for showing restraint! Please do an ounce of research into what the team ownership has said regarding their commitment to Arizona before you spew Canadian tabloid headlines from 2009

Wait till the New Arena can get funding because no one goes to the games.. then they'll move.
