I like Guhle, but this seems like this might be an issue in the future.

It seems like almost all of the Canadian born players are being shown as kids in Leafs’ jerseys.

NJD & CBJ are biggest losers, followed by BUF, then MTL to a lesser extent imo

CGY made some nice trades, I like ANAs picks, and MIN and WPG got lucky with Rossi and Perfetti falling. I like who TOR & DAL got at their draft positions too

a lot of good players fell out of the 1st round, so the list of winners may grow a lot tomorrow

This draft was one of the better drafts in my opinion. Reminds me of the 2003 draft, but not many trades were made this year like there were in 2003. Had a ton of surprises but I kinda knew those were coming. Kings took Byfield over Stutzle because of readiness to play in the NHL right away. After making an Armchair GM on Sunday night, I began to realize, holy ****, they're gonna get Byfield, but I still kept my stance. I also think by drafting Byfield over Stutzle, they didn't make any mistake. They knew he was available and they took a chance on him. Also the sense of having a black icon being drafted second overall was kinda what drove them, I think, especially in a time of BLM and stuff like that, not to make it all political and whatnot.

I've only one question regarding the draft.

Did Kekäläinen find himself a hidden diamond or what the f*ck is going on?

I wouldn’t call NJD a loser. Holtz is a great player, and Mercer was the BPA. Mukhamadullin was a bit off the board, but he wasn’t too far off.

MTL certainly isn’t a loser, since that was an appropriate spot for Guhle to be picked. The only thing is that this means they’re going to need to make some trades in the future when he and other prospects are NHL ready.

I also really like Anaheim’s draft. Drysdale will obviously be great, and Perreault could be the steal of the draft.

I also think that the Senators got good value out of their picks.

Chinakov has 7 pts in 12 games in the KHL. I think his stock was going to rise in the draft, and Jarmo didn't think he'd last until his next pick in the 3rd round.

overager. but if you look what he did in the MHL this year as well as what hes doing well in the KHL right now. they might have found a hidden gem here.
