Hmm that ehlers trade is tempting, I really like foudy lol. At the end of the day though, we need ehlers. Maybe for Connor?

So Connor for foudy, savard, and a 2nd (becomes a first based on foudy’s production)

I prefer Connor's game to Ehlers. I've been told that Ehlers is more available than Connor, that's the only reason I chose Ehlers. I did think about switching the picks in each trade. WPG -> 1st & EDM -> 2nd. I just don't think EDM says "yes" unless it's a 1st round pick ya know?

This is good.... but.... I’d want RNH to come with an extension... that’s a awful lot to give up for a rental after moving the player with the best chance to replace him if he leaves.

I’d also switch Jenner and Grigorenko in the line up.

Why sign Gustafsson? Just move Peeke up. He's ready anyway. And if it's Connor rather than Ehlers, then it should be Bemstrom rather than Foudy going back to WPG.

I changed it so you can see what the lines would look like with Peeke in the top 4.

If it’s not foudy jets don’t consider. Even with foudy, the only reason I consider is because I like him a lot. Otherwise, it’s not the best move for the jets

I may be in the minority, but I view Foudy as absolutely essential to CBJ's future. Connor's cap hit is also harder to absorb for us. But he's certainly the kind of player who'd make Jarmo consider moving a guy like Foudy.

Much better. I'd also swap Nuti (who plays both LD and RD) to LD, and put Kukan in the lineup instead of Harrington, who is hot garbage.

You're not in the minority, I would hate to see Foudy go... We just have a short list of great center prospects, but the one we do have is valuable.

If it's all the same I'd rather part with Bemstrom -- I'm sure some GMs would prefer Bemmer based on his offensive upside and higher skill level -- but for Ehlers/Conner I'm fine including Foudy, as much as it'd hurt. With either of those wings the Jackets would be getting some much-needed offense and long-term control. As long as CBJ holds onto Texier, Marchenko and Voronkov.

Hot take, I'd also move Jenner for picks in this scenario. Stenlund belongs in the lineup (Robinson too imo) and while Boone is a great locker room guy, he'd fetch a nice return with a team that needs a gritty, versatile 3C. Guys like Goodrow and Coleman fetched first rounders -- not saying Boone definitely would but I could see someone overpaying for him.
