Description

This makes sense to me. Savard is a great defensive defenceman. He would help Toronto a lot, even if it's only for a year. Toronto selects Schnider by trading down to the early 20's in picks, and he eventually replaces Savard, The next season Sandin does. Also, I think that deal would be appealing to the sens. They get a good pick. They also get 2 players that really might play high in their lineup, just as high as Tierney, and Brown seems to be not a key part of Ottawa's future with Norris, and the 3rd overall pick coming up at centre.

That being said don’t sign Boro, sign Bogosian instead (1,5 mil), that way you save $$, get ER out and sign one of Maroon/Perry/Simmonds

Thanks for the comments! You think Bogosian would be better? I guess I'd say they are about the same. I have a feeling the leafs new assistant might want Boro after coaching him in Ottawa. And yes, I would gladly sign Perry/Simmonds/Maroon instead of Rodrigous.

Yes he’s that good

The only thing that separates him from Muzzin’s the offensive potential

-not that Bogo is necessarily better, but he’s cost slighty less IMO while playing a similar role and number of minutes per game while shooting right, which can’t hurt.
-I REALLY want one of WS/PM/CP in TOR, their style of play would help the team in a big way

Muzzin is a 2 way beast. Savard is below average offensively (for a defenseman) and his defense is a lot worse that people think it is. Hes a solid 4th guy but dont rely on him to play top pairing minutes

It's all kind of moot, because Columbus already has too many D, and will be looking to trade away from the blue line. So this isn't a deal that would noticeably move us in the right direction.

Might get it done. But it would depend on what Jarmo is able to do in terms of re-signing PLD, Anderson and Gavrikov. If we re-sign Anderson, I don't think there's a viable place for Mango on our roster.
